Enclosed Auto Transport
An enclosed trailer puts walls and a roof between your vehicle and the road. No weather, no road debris, no eyes on what's inside. Most enclosed trailers carry two to six cars, which is why the rate is higher — you're paying for a much smaller deck.
We dispatch enclosed transport for collector cars, exotics, freshly restored vehicles, low-clearance builds and anything where a single paint correction would cost more than the difference in freight.

Lift gate vs. ramps — ask for the right one
A hydraulic lift gate raises the vehicle level onto the deck with no incline at all. Ramps require a shallow drive-up angle. If your car has a front splitter, a lowered suspension or long overhangs, a lift gate isn't a preference — it's a requirement.
Tell us the ground clearance and we specify a lift-gate trailer when we dispatch. This is the single most common cause of a failed pickup on high-end vehicles, and it's entirely avoidable.
Soft ties and how your car is secured
Enclosed carriers use nylon soft straps over the tires rather than chains on suspension components. Nothing touches the bodywork, and no load is placed on the springs or control arms.
Drivers on these trailers typically handle high-value vehicles exclusively. They document condition photographically at pickup and delivery, which is your record if anything is ever disputed.
What enclosed transport costs and why
Expect 30–50% more than open transport on the same route. The trailer holds fewer vehicles, the equipment costs more, and demand outpaces supply during collector-car season.
Book earlier than you would for open transport — especially in January, when the Arizona auctions absorb a large share of the national enclosed fleet.
Preparing a high-value vehicle
- Measure and report ground clearance so we send a lift-gate trailer.
- Photograph the vehicle from all angles in good light before pickup.
- Disable or provide instructions for aftermarket alarms and kill switches.
- Secure or remove soft tops, spoilers and loose trim.
- Fold mirrors and note any starting quirks for the driver.

- For a vehicle where paint or bodywork repair would run into four figures, yes. For a daily driver, open transport is the better value.
- Can you ship a non-running classic in an enclosed trailer?

- How much insurance covers my vehicle?
